im lost

have put on an intake before..so i got my intake today and i got my throttle body spacer..so i swap out the gasket on the throttle body and put it back on(i didnt put the spacer on) i put my intake on and turn it on and it now idles at 3000..i dont know what happened i checked my lines i even tried adjusting the throttle cable i got nothin...this car has a piece of shit since i got it!!!!!!

adjust the throttle position sensor.....i'll try and find a picture of it....unless someone and get that before me

need to clean you idle air control valve ( i think thats what its called ) its located under the t/b has a hose going into it and coming out from the intake and going back into it, there are 2 lil screws that you will have to take off and then adjust the white cap, in or out, till it idles better

You didn't clean off the old gasket and/or tighten down the throttle body correctly and evenly. Or you didn't install the new gasket properly.

did you check to see if your throttle plate is closing completely? if not, adjust the throttle cable by giving it a little slack.

ill try all that..ive cleaned my iacv about 2 weeks ago..but ill do it again

ok i went through all that and the solution was the gasket..the hole on the gaskets that came with the spacer were way bigger than the oem gasket..that sucked..i hate spacers! :x ...lol
