#78648 what are you planning to do?
build for turbo?
build for NA?
head is the same for both blocks, although the d15b vtec cam is rumored to have more agressive lobes.

#78674 Planing on turbo the apex ax53 series kit
skunk2 head internals skunk2 pro intake and throttle body

crower rods, srp pistons, unorthadox racing pulleys and flywheel
just need to find a decent crank

That head will work.

Keep the stock crank. just have it balanced. the stock crank will be more than enough. be sure to get good bearings, clevite would be my first choice, honda factory would be second. acl's i would stay away from.

Althogh i would recommend wiseco pistons and eagle rods. that combo will cost as much as the crower rods alone, and they will definatley handle what ever you throw at them.

#78688 excellent appreciate the feed back oh do i need sleeves for it or what do you recommend

#78689 what kinda power are you looking for? and is this primarily a budget build?

When i had mine sleeved, it was 900$ to ship it to golden eagle, have it bead blasted, sleeved, bored over, and then shipped back. but that was through my friend who has a sponsorhip type deal with them, where he gets good discounts. original price would have been 1200.

A block gaurd is a cheap way to go. but i've heard not many people like them.

#78691 well i bought my eg for only a dollar it had a blown motor so my buddy gave me his d15b vtec the car came with tein coil overs and skunk2 front and rear camber kit and i work at a tire shop so i get rims and tires cheap
and parts at cost, but i have a 3 year old boy who i spend lots on as well its a semi budget

#78692 so depending on power, a you could probably stick with stock sleeves. whats your hp goal?
By krytikal
#78693 its a project would like 200 for hp but i also would like more torque

#78694 stock sleeves would be fine for 200. even if you bought just vitara pistons you wouldn't really need much more.
By krytikal
#78695 would go higher if possible i dont want to go stupid hp still want to daily drive

#78697 what would be you opinion for ecu then was thinking hondata or aem but not sure

280hp is perfect for a street driven car. anything over that you just end up with traction problems but don't get me wrong anything over that still makes for a very fun ride lol. and my little bro's car on 289hp (completely stock b16a with custom turbo kit on 8psi, made 320hp on 11psi), and ran a 12.6 in the quartermile on that 289hp. so it'll be plenty fast.

as for ECU just get a chipped p28, or p30. or something. depending on your tuner, they can probably provide the program. mine will be neptune. but you can only get that from an approved dealer/tuner. right now i'm running my car on chrome. which is a free download, and works great.
