motor hesitating

- Thu Dec 04, 2008 3:50 am #81886 i have a d16a its sohc vtec. its spuddering when i try to accelerate most of the time. i put new plugs in it and it seemed to help for a while but now its worse than ever. got any ides? also my car dips rpm while ideling. it has a chipped ecu. could this be causing it?

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Fuel pump? You're filter might be getting clogged or your pump might be going out.

When was the last time you did a full tune up? Including spark wires, air filter, cap and rotor. Even the distributor coil.

I doubt the ecu being chipped its creating any problems. If the ecu was chipped wrong it would either just not have the car turned on or it won't let it rev over 3g's.

- Thu Dec 04, 2008 5:24 am #81915 alright thanks guys. im going to buy the stuff tomorrow for a full tune. il let ya know how it runs afterwards. il alos check my timing. it should be good cause i checked about six months ago and havent done anything to it sinse then but just in case il check :)
