#83472 My car is a 95 civic cx
I just recently hooked up vtec in my car and I got a diagram for the four o2 censor:
Run o2 sensor signal (white) to d14
Run o2 sensor ground (green) to d22 (or any good ground)
Run o2 sensor heater circuit control (black) to a6
Run the other black heater circuit power to (a25) or any good switched +12vdc source.
if the car dies when warm switch the two black wires around.

alright well i followed that diagram and hooked up vtec with a diagram and still had no vtec. i checked my solenoid buy putting it on the positive on the battery and it is good. my car would start about 15 tries and then i would have to wait until its warm to even drive it or it would bog down.

so up unhooked all the wiring i did, and hooked up everything back up the way it was supposed to be. now it still is not wanting to start when its cold and i still have to wait until it gets warm to drive. the car never had a problem with this until i hooked up the four wire o2.
any suggestions would help out alot.

#83535 The car will start up and run easily with no O2 sensor and no VTEC.

There really is no possible way for anyone to figure out what you messed up w/out looking at your car. "Switch the two black wires around" sounds pretty foolish. And "(any good ground)" is also bad info because that will cause your sensor reading to be noisy. You haven't provided much detail... what engine, what ECU, what you consider to be "good wiring".

Cold start problems are usually related to the FITV or the coolant sensor. There are two coolant sensors and a coolant switch. Happy hunting.

#83554 its a d16z6 with a p28, good wiring would be soldering for me.
