#105203 I am going to be getting a d16a1 for free it is out of an 89 teggy obd0 i believe and it is a zc motor. I was wondering what is the best approach for this motor: head, cam, tb, etc.. and how much work is this swap going to be what needs to be modified for it to fit and can i use the 5sp transmission that is already in the car or will i need a diffrent one. I have searched the forum and have had some ?? answered but am wondering what is all involved here.. I am a newbie so sorry for any ignorance just trying to learn.

#105230 your best bet would be to find a first gen rex and put that motor in it ....since that motor is very hard to put into 88 on up civics due to its driverside mount some people have tried some have succeeded though really i dont think itd be worth it your best bet would be to either find another 1st gen teggy or first gen rex/ civic of that year.....
