ok well as some of you know i got a 4 door lx with a d15z1
so i didnt install this engine.. and its vtec-e :eh: .. im thinking of swapping a d16z6 but the thing is how do i make sure that the wiring harness on the car is for the d15z1?? because if it is that means that the d16z6 is just a plug and play right??

just engine and ecu..

my o2 sensor is a 4 wire sensor..!

should all be plug and play although you might want a P28 .. don't know how well the z6 would respond to the z1 brains... or are they both a P28 ecu?

edit; z1 ecu is a P07.

yeah it should be plug and play but is there anyway to make sur emy wiring is from a z1 since they swapped this engine in a lx sedan..??

because usually the o2 sensor should be a 5 wire and my o2 sensor is a 4 wire..

What ECU is in there? P07, right? It runs good? No CEL's? Does your VTEC-E work?

VTEC-E and VTEC wiring are the same. If they added VTEC wiring, then it's plug and play to go Z6. But who cares anyway? Wiring VTEC is insanely simple!

The Z1 will also have EGR wiring near the distributor.

your p28 assumes you have a Z6.
it's programmed for single-stage vtec.
it will attempt to engage vtec at around 5200 rpm (if there are no other problems).
if you have a stock tachometer, its probably off by a few hundred rpms at that point.
