#115245 I have a d15b7 that i been planning a mini-me swap to.
im not sure what d-series head it is but came with intake manifold n all the stuff for the v-tec. is there a way to tell what kind it is. by looking at it?
Im not sure what head it exactly is so i havent gotten the timing belt or head gasket yet.? :?

I also just got a water pump for my block, and i just started talking to someone who has a couple p28 ecu's. is there a specific code i sould look for on the sticker, or on the inside before buying. so i know its a manual p28 not automatic p28?
And will my stock distributor and spark plug wires be able to stay or does that depend on what kind of head i have?

is there any other tips nebody got so i have a heads up??

All the help is greatly appreciated! :)

If the head has more square shaped combustion chambers, then it is y8. Perfectly round chambers = z6, or possibly D15b but less likely. There should also be stampings somewhere that would say p28, p06 etc...

Here's a thread about the differences of the auto/5spd ecu's

The d15b7 dizzy will fit the y8 head, but not the z6 head. you'll need a z6 dizzy if you got the z6 head.

a z6 head will look like this:
