#140896 What do u think of this mod ?

I'll also install Japspeed 4-2-1 Headers, Exedy Stage 1 Clutch and NGK Wire Plugs, ah and i will loose 1kg on the flywheel?

Do i will notice the difference ? Is it a good setup for start ?

Thanks for the help anyway.

Sorry for my english.

#141093 Which DC2? DC2 GSR, or DC2 ITR? GSR has a 60mm TB, ITR has a 62mm TB. B16 has a 60mm. B16 and B18C1 TBs are identical.

#141097 The ITR TB would be a decent upgrade for now. If you plan on making serious power, you had better plan on getting a bigger TB eventually.

With those mods, the 62mm TB would react well, IMO. You could also port match the IM to the TB for better airflow. I'm guessing you have a cold air intake or a short ram intake?

#141428 It'll run nicely. Just make sure you only order one header

Also, when you do the clutch/flywheel, change out the rear main seal while you're in there. Just a small hint that would have saved me a lot of time and money when I did my clutch/flywheel. Wound up blowing out a month later and I needed a new clutch disc. Unfortunately, Fidanza wouldn't sell me a single disc. Nor would anyone else.

#142146 Actually you'll lose power with the ITR throttle body. Bigger is not always better. Run it on the dyno if you don't believe me. A baseline and a second pull cost less than $100.

#142162 Considering he's throwing a header and lightened flywheel on there, he might need the increased airflow into the engine.

I put an ITR TB on my DC4, dyno'd before and after, and saw a continuous gain of 3hp across the board. Granted, I had a 7.5lb flywheel allowing for significantly faster RPM climb. But I do attribute the 3hp gain to the TB. And I'm not saying that the 7.5lb flywheel was a power adder, just saying it freed up the engine to rev like a friggin' motorcycle.

2mm is not going to make a huge difference. If anything, he won't gain anything. I highly doubt he'd lose power on a 2mm increase. Now if he were going from a 60mm to a 68mm on a stock IM, there would be problems. Loss of power would not only show up on the dyno, but it might be so significant that it would be felt on the butt dyno.
