- Sat Feb 13, 2010 6:10 pm #175105 iam finishing the swap up all i have to do is get a o2 sensor and a few other sensors. i was told my ls can run with out the evap purge sensor is this ture. also i was told the a obd 1 p75 does not look for one. now idk if this kid is full of shit or not so any info would be help full thanks

- Sun Feb 14, 2010 2:04 pm #175267 I just did an ls swap into my coupe and I converted the motor 2 obd1 I have the purge valve there just coving the hole and no problem im runing a p28 but ima get an ls ecu so I think if ur full obd1 then u don't need it not sure

- Fri Feb 19, 2010 4:21 pm #176383 ive never ran a evap purge and never had any problems. i jus tape the wires back in the harness and use the correct ecu for the application. no cel lights or anything. for what its worth i took the whole charcoal evap canister off my car and its fine...
