#179840 all the obd1 manual harness are basically the same... with the exception of a cx harness only haveing a 1 wire o2... and all you have to do in an dx or ls harness is pin the vtec wires in yourself... this can be done easily if you have spare harnesses as i have done this many many times myself... but vx, si, ex, gsr there basically the same... the oxygen sensor comes out at the front on a sohc harness... you can buy a o2 jumper from passowrd jdm or make one very easily yourself... as far as using a sohc harness on a dohc... dont let anyone tell you it wont work because it will i have done it.... you may have to tweak your routing and worse case add a little wire in, but stretching and tweaking the wires normally gets it done... and as far a what harness to use with what computer is not important.... all harness and computers ar interchangeable... m ive used shoc vtec engine harnesses on LS and B20's... it dosent matter... hopefully this is some help...

#179866 ^^ the ECU's aren't quite interchangeable.....

they'll plug in, and the car will start and idle, but the fuel maps and everything else are setup for what specific motor its for... like OP said, the P28 chipped/tuned will work

i ment the harness's are interchangeable with the ecu's u can use any harness on any comp. but you need to have the right comp for your app. reguardless of what engine harness you have (there all basicly the same) ex. -->

using a ls computer on a ls engine with a sohc vtec harness or
using a ls harness (with vtec wires added) on a gsr engine with gsr comp.
using a sohc vtec harness on a gsr with a chipped p28
using a ls harness (with vtec wires added) on a b16 with a chipped p28

i wasnt very clear before lol sorry

#179889 You plug your current harness into an OBD1 GSR ECU and add the necessary wires for VTEC, the intake secondaries, and the knock sensor.

B series swaps have been quite common for the last 15 years. It's quite easy to find any and all information by searching.
