- Fri Jul 30, 2010 1:14 am #206728 i have a b16 a vtec turbo setup. i blew my engine, spun a bearing. i need to replace pistons/rods/crankshaft. the guys on b20vtec are dicks and won't help me.

so my questions are:

what are your suggestions for what pistons/rods i should go with? crankshaft? clutch?.and what compression should i go with???

I'm not looking to spend thousands. i have like a 600 budget
i'm not looking for crazy power. just want a decent street car that i can drive whenever without problems.

- Fri Jul 30, 2010 3:27 am #206740 first, figure out why you spun a bearing the first time so you don't let it happen again. was it lack of oil?

What's your turbo setup? What software are you using for tuning? How much power did you make?

Get a stock crank, eagle rods and some decent forged pistons. Shop around and those should come in around $600

Your clutch needs really depends on your power level.
How much power do you want?

- Sat Jul 31, 2010 7:04 pm #206936 yeah it was lack of oil. i have an xs turbo kit 50 trim in 60 out. i have a pretty good setup i think, i just didn't take care of it like an idiot. but i went and got it tuned, i have a p75 chrome chipped ecu for now. i was at 235 at 6 pds. but when it blew i was at 13 pds because i needed to put a new boost controller in. and i'm not looking for crazy power, i just want a reliable turbo engine.

so i've been doing my research and i need to get lower compression pistons?
