#227988 your stock rods are plenty strong. people push out more than 300whp on sto k ls rods in turbo ls motors. imma say there is more stress there than in a ls/vtec you are only taking up to 7k. rods should be thd least of your worries.

and yes. its will in a sense make the rod stronger as a whole assembly. this is because its going to keep the cap from seperating from the rod, thus preventing you from throwing a rod.

arp bolts are a must for most builds, they are worth it, people think that 50$ for some bolts is a rip off but they are well worth it when they are holding your motor together
