- Mon Oct 06, 2014 11:59 pm #349007 I rarely ever post on forums as I just use the search function and find answers I need and I'm usually too busy to be social about my car online. However, in this case I would love some help.

The car is a 93 EG Hatch with a JDM GSR (B18c) swap. Just got the engine in (before taking it back out again to power-wash the engine bay... I'm impatient) and it seems vtech isn't working. My understanding of vtech makes this nearly impossible as it shouldn't have a choice but to work at speed, but anyways, I found this part laying in the engine bay. I have no idea what it is. I'm sorry for being ignorant possibly, but my buddies don't know either so I'm turning to you guys for help!

What is this?:

- Tue Oct 07, 2014 12:28 am #349008 As far as your VTEC, check your oil level. If you dont have enough oil, you don't have enough oil pressure to activate it.

And that sensor is your EVAP purge control solenoid. The vacuum lines should go to your intake manifold, and to the canister, like the pic:
