#58646 I have done some other research and found out it is the vss. I also found out that the b16a has an electric vss, does this mean I need a different gauge cluster? Can anybody please help I want my vtec to work.

#59959 I thought that the vss was attached to the gear box and not to the clocks if so it will be easily replaceble.

yes. It shoulcn't have anything to do with vtec. vtec functions on oil pressure.

Thought as much in that case take your Vtec soleniod off and clean the wire mesh filter its common for them to get clogged up if that doesn't work see if you can borrow a friends soleniod and see if it'll run it then.

It looks like the VSS is a seperate problem though so should try and deal with that too.

#60550 I fixed the problem. I rechecked all the wires from the vss and the guy that did my swap crossed up the ecu wire an the ground wire on the vss. Now my vtec works great.
