#57445 ok, so i've been having some really weird issues with my idle. i start the car it runs ok when it's cold but then after it warms up the idle drops really low, as in 500 or less. and i have alot of bogging anything below 2,000 rpm. and i will randomly throw a CEL every once in a while. i just reaplaced my oil pan and my vtec solenoid gasket.

this is a b16a in a 92si. as i said i'm at a total loss.

Thanks
Ian

#59958 Check your Idle air control valve and the fast idle control valve I have had the same problem on both my Sol and my civic once I change the fast idle valve worked sweet as a nut.

#59995 Might not have to replace it try giving your current one a wire brushing, DON'T use anything else then put it back in and see if that does the trick could save you a few pennies.

if the sensor is burned up it may be a waste of time. but if your gonna go that route at least get yourself a good O2 sensor removal tool. When I swapped the exhaust on my S2000 and had to pull the secondary o2 sensor off it made the job a million times easier. all it is is a socket with a cut in the side so the cable can go thru it. Rachet>combo wrench any day of the week
