#68608 k im going to give you as much info as i can. i swapped a jdm b16a into my 93 civic CX. got it all in and went to start it and it cranked over fine and broke the timing belt because somehow the intake the cam got locked up from the distributor being in wrong; dont ask how they get put in wrong cause i have no clue lol. but i checked everything out no bad valves i replaced the timing belt perfectly and went to strat it and now it wont turn over. i checked all my grounds ( even sanded them) bought a new starter, and checked the 50amp ignition fuse under the hood and the 7.5amp starter signal fuse under the hood, both were good, also i replaced the clutch safty switch and still natta. any one have any ideas?

#68668 pull spark plug cable number one from the valve cover. should be on ur far left side of the engine. hold the end of that cable near some metal object around the engine and have sum1 start the car. check if you see any spark.. if not, then either you forgot to connect the distributor or the computer is not hooked up. if you have confirm those 2 are connected then ur option is to borrow a friend dizzy for a min and replace yours with his and see if the car start. if it does start then you need a new coil which is INSIDE the distributor.
fairly easy to fix.

if none of the above work then you need to completely plug in EVERYTHING. check the passenger side and driver side, the firewall everywhere your probably missing something.

maybe ur fuel injector clog up? pull all the injector out a little bit and have them face in or wrap each injector with a dry rag. crank the car for about 2 second and check if the rag are wet from gas. if not then either your fuel pump went dead/ not connect. if less than 4 of ur rag are wet then one of the injector are clog up/dirty.

do you have an alarm? kill switch?

#68731 thanks for all that. im going to tray swapping the dizzy but everything seems to work fine. i cant get the starter to turn over the motor. if i jump straight from the starter to the battery it turns over but it wont even do that from the key.

#68733 try putting a multimeter to the ignition wire on the starter check for voltage when you turn the key if you dont get anything try checking if your switch is getting power from the battery, if it is then you might be looking at an ignition switch

#68776 sound like alarm related. remove the alarm and connect the orange wire that's on the harness to ground and see if the car start.

#68786 ok yea i hooked up a voltmeter to the ignition switch and there was no voltage when the key was turned to start. so its either the ignition or the ignition wire. how would i check the ignition modual itself?

i know its not alarm issue cuase im car has no alarm. its a basic cx with manual locks and wndows and all lol. but its ligth as heck.

#68823 behind the key cylinder (left side) there is a white cap with 5 wires on it. with a tester light check if there's any power on the white wire. try 8 gauge jumper wire and contact the white wire and the yellow wire together does the dash light up? try white wire to the black/yellow wire does the dash light up? if SO then you need a new harness because the cap that install behind the key cylinder on your left hand side been damage or strip inside dude to theft or starting car without the key.
