So I've finally decided what my plans are for the car. After a long talk with Penelope (What? thats her name!) We've decided that a B swap is the best option for her future. Our original plans were to just boost her D and be done with it, but she seems to have come down with a cold and isn't feeling quite herself lately. She claims she's just getting old and she's nearing her end of days, but I have reassured her that we can save her. (Although I have been eyeing the sexy hot body of some hatches online) SO, that being said, I've noticed a few of you guys here are hating on the B16. Why is that? I don't want answers like "Yo, dat VTECH is lik 1 of dem D's slike a POS homes." I want proper answers and helpful insight. The way I see it is I would like to get me a B16 like so:

A decent 170hp, and eventually, in the summer, slap a turbo in with the mix. I'm planning on boosting on stock internals and pushing maybe 8psi through it. (Penelope just loves the idea of Forced Induction!) We were shooting for about 220whp by the end of the build.
When buying this engine swap what should I expect? Would I feel a world of difference over my 102hp d15b7? Penny enjoys rough riding, getting dirty, and going fast. I want to make her dreams come true.
