I'll be closer to 12.7:1-12.8:1.
I'm looking at the TODA VTEC Killer cams and the Rocket Motorsports
TODA's cams are 12.5mm lift or roughly .500in.
Rocket's cams are 12.7mm lift or just over .500in.
The ENDYN Bumpstix run .481" IN and .458" EX. (I have a buddy running these cams at 242whp, NA, 12:1, 2.36" exhaust).
If that guy is pushing 242whp with less lift, means he's got some serious tuning going on. He has dialed out all but a few degrees of overlap, ramped up his timing from 24* to 17*, running on 100octane Aviation fuel, and the best part: 84x89.
I'm sleeving my block because I don't want my cylinders to walk. I'm not concerned about the cylinder's cracking, especially since it will be sleeved.
K and B are two VERY different beasts. 86x86 (K20), better combustion chamber design, better piston domes... I'd love to get a K and build that. 250whp NA would be easy (comparatively) out of a K20 or a K24/20 Frankenstein.
As far as the fuel rail goes, the stock rail is good for up to 500whp. So is the filter. So is the pressure regulator. Only thing I would need is the Walbro 255lph for fuel delivery and 550cc/min injectors to do the spraying.
Hi, I'm John. I'm a hacky sackin', rock climbin', scuba divin', aircraft mechanic.
