Either one would be a hige improvement over the D in there now. LS would be better for low end torque. B16 revs higher and has more power overall. And it's a VTEC engine.

What are you going to use it for? DD? AutoX? Drag?

What kind of power are you looking for? B18B has more potential if you want to go NA. Either engine can make SERIOUS power under FI.

I have had a LS as a Daily/AutoX car. It was amazingly fun in both uses. In terms of which is faster, my LS beat all the B16a swapped cars I came across.

IF you will use it as a autox car, The B16a might be a better choice, I often found myself bouncing off the 7k limiter of the LS. Extra revs will help in that.

Both motor are great swaps. It all comes down to what you like and want. VTEC is a nice thing to have.

$2500 will get you a JDM B18C (SiR-G, not ITR) in good shape.

You can get a B18C1 for $800-$1000 depending on the condition and the seller. With transmission look for around $1500 in good shape. (Around here that is...not sure how it is out where you are)

B16 will be more, B18B1 will be less.

GSR tranny will do you well with 250-300whp for streetable power delivery and still be fun on the track/backroads. Loo at around $500-$600 for a decent transmission with no grinds.

Shift linkage can be had for $50 or less.

Axles (left, right, and intermediate shaft) must be from a 94-01 Integra as a set or from a 90-93 Integra as a set.

Mounts can be purchased for $380 for a set of Hasport uppers and rear. The lowers are $80 for the pair on www.hondapartsunlimited.com. You need the lowers. Trust me. If you can find some, get some solid lower mounts, otherwise the Energy Suspension mount inserts are pretty damn good.

If you go with a VTEC engine, or an LS or LS/VTEC for that matter, and you have a VTEC D-series now, your engine wiring harness is plug and play.

For ECU:

LS: P75, OBD-I.
GSR: P72, OBD-I.
ITR: P73, OBD-II to OBD-I conversion.
B16: P72 or P73, OBD-I converted.

You'll obviously want it tuned so for VTEC or LS/VTEC just use P72, easier to find than P73. P75 ECUs are a dime a dozen. I found one in my neighborhood for $20 the other day...considering buying it, getting it chipped, and having my 'Teg tuned in stock trim to optimize fuel/spark maps.

The most important part: Everything bolts straight up. No need to modify anything except for the exhaust.
