Hey guys i think i might have found a good score. i found a b18b1 from a 94-95? integra the guy has it in the car it runs and drives for only 150$ bucks!!
the only downfall is that its an auto tranny  so i was wondering if there is anything crazy i gotta do to put a 5 speed on it i know the obvious like integra shift linkage, integra mounts and a 5 speed hydro tranny. Was wondering if i was missing anything do i need to change the ecu??? anyway hope its a good deal!!

i heard something a while back where it was possible to run a 5 speed on an auto ECU just not possible to run an auto on a manual ECU :? sound kinda fishy, but who knows?

they can convert auto p28's to run manual's.

I think the unsolder a capacitor or something and solder something else and then its a Manual ecu.

I think teal made a DIY on this.

Also I think if you pick up an Engine attached to an Automatic tranny. It will most likely be in better shape then one attached to a Manual. The Mentality of most who would have an automatic will be less likely to beat on their car then most who would have a manual.

to bolt a 5spd tranny to the auto b18
all you need to do is replace the flex plate wit a flywheel

and is the b18b1 the "LS"

GreasedMonkey is right. The auto and manual IMs on the LS engine are different. So are the throttle bodies. Check up on Craigslist and you can find both 5spd transmissions and IM/TB combos for relatively cheap. Especially considering it's an LS setup.

What are your goals for this engine? You just want it for street driving, or autox, or drag...

That will determine the best transmission to mate to your engine.

Well here it is finaly got the motor! like an idiot i forgot to take pics wen it was all together.Anyway i started taring it down cuz it had a blown head gasket and its been sitting for 2 months or so. I figured i needed to do a head gasket wen i got into it its looking more like a full build! But in a way im kinda happie cuz now i can build it to how i want to!
Image
I figured cuz there was water in the oil i will have to do new main bearings im probly gunna do new pistons and rods anyway for boost.

Image
Cant till to well from the pics but the oil mainly on the intake side was like a thick buttery substace
Image
looks like the cams are in bad shape rust on the loabs! also same buttery oil!
Image
Lol just a vale cover nothing fancy it in pretty good shape though!

So heres what im lookin to do, i wanna boost it and run 12-15psi not to crazy. Was thinkin some forged pistons/rods also brian crower turbo cams?? Im taking the head in a couple weeks for a overhaul, new valve seals, duel springs/retainers,arp hardwear, hot tanked and all that good stuff. That will gimmi time to get the rest of the block taken apart.
