B16A1 Into A EG4 With NO wiring ....

Okay.. so like the title says..

Ive got a shell of an EG4..
its got wires on the shock towers and.. thats about it.
the Ecu wire plugs have been chopped off so theres no way to connect a ecu.

only option i can think of is to get a whole new engine loom, ecu wiring and what ever else (tell me if ive missed something please)

so.. i was wondering, would putting a B16A1 in to the car be possible without to much drama?

the car is..or was OBD0

and the B is also OBD0 so... ? that works right?

:)

thanks Yall

ya that obd0 stuff will work id just re harness the whole car sence its eather choped up or missing.Technicly if your doing all new wireing threwout the car you can pretty much do any obd you want and any motor b/d/k obviousely with some ull need mounts, axels, ecu ect...ect.

if your going to replace all wireing might as well just upgrade atleast to obd1 since then you wont have to do a mpfi swap since most obd0 civics are dpfi and teh integra motor is mpfi.....and the only thing you would end up needing that would be different in the swap would be a obd1 computer to run a b18b1 (same as the a1 just obd1 and a different distributor as well as harness for obd1.....obd1 is in my veiw easier to work on than obd2 cars as well asobd0 but the choice is yours just if you do the work id do the obd1 at least

so what do i need for the mpfi?

i thought the a1s were mpfi ? :?

ohh and for the obd1 conversion.. do i just need one of thsoe harnesses that changes then plug ends so i can run a obd1 ecu or do i need full on re wiring?

:D

b18a1's are mpfi but the original d series power plant that i beleive was in your hatch was dpfi since most obd0 d's are dpfi unless you had the d16a6 in it before but youll need if your gonna keep your obd0 a resistor box a fair amount of wire injectors and plugs and i think a few other things id go onto d-series.org and look it up im not a guru on the dpfi-mpfi swaps yet lol

And your better off just going all out and converting totally to ob1 since the jumper harness you still gotta wire stuff up......

tho im not sure but i think with the jumper harness you just have to wire up the injectors but i could be wrong

you can swap the B16 in there. just have to convert it to OBD1 if you are going to do OBD1.
