my questions are:

1. are gsr cams a good upgrade for a mild all motor build?

2. is a gsr throttle body better than the b16 one i have?

3. reguarding obd's how do the conversion harnesses work? as in do you read them as in the car is obd0 and you have a obd1 motor and ecu. so you would need a obd0 to obd1 harness?

4. if i wanted to put my motor in a EF hatch what linkage would i use? and what harness? i have a 95 del sol vtec harness.

basically the main question is what would i need to put my obd1 jdm b16a into a ef hatch?

i know that i could search more but im getting tired and confused.

1-I dont really know if you can swap cams but ill let someone else figure that one out.

2-the gsr throttle body is larger than the b16 if i remember correctly and depending on what you have going on it can hurt or better the performance just like any other throttle body

3-that is correct and if you look at the pic that some sites have it goes from obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and it will show the female ends of the obd1 pigtail....

4-well i would probaly use a 90-93 teg shift linkage as well as a ls wiring harness then just hardwire the vtec, knock sensor etc....since you would have to do that anyhow since 88-91 civics never came with vtec.....

5-(main) - well i do beleive you need the mounts to swap a b series into a 88-91 civic since they are different, you will need either a hydro to cable trans conversion kit or a cable b series trans....obd0 wiring harness well as explained above that and the teg shift linkage im pretty sure will work. also you can use the obd1 ecu but will need a jumper or you could always use the obd0 b16 ecu....or chip a obd0 ecu.....ummm dont know about exhaust work i know on the 88-91civic its shorter than my 95 but i dont know if thats true about the b series headers etc....you will need to do some wiring none the less for sensors and such but nothing too bad a few wires here and there....truely not sure about this but i think you may need a integra speedo cable or possibly you may be able to run the civics tho i think it has to be with use from a cable trans im not sure how to get the hydro trans to work with a normally cable driven speedo.....

And thats it i think could be missing some things

2. is a gsr throttle body better than the b16 one i have? Again, No. aftermarket would be the way to go.

conversion harness always go like this...

cars obd (88-91 obd0, 92-95 obd1, 96-on up obd2) to ecu obd

ex 1988 crx with a p28

1988 crx=obd0

p28=ob1

so you will need a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness
