B18b1 compression?

Hi I have a B18b1 with 8:1 ratio pistons in it i did a compression test and it read in #1 90psi #2 90psi #3 90psi #4 62psi is okay or bad?

not completely sure but i do think 90 is good that 62 however im not to sure bout that seems well low to me.

ya i was thinking the same thing 90 sounds okay but the 62 is low

why in the hell do you have 8:1 cr pistons in a LS motor?
and the 62psi is bad...really bad.

yeah 62psi is bad thats about 6:1 cr or a lil less.. was it previously boosted ? could be bad rings or headgasket.

the car is boosted now and what could be causing the 62psi

is there anyway to tell whether its the head gasket or piston rings?

without taking it apart ? removing radiator cap (when car is cold!!) lol and turn over engine usually the coolant will spray out the radiator due to compression going into coolant passages in the block and out the radiator

being headgasket.. thats only if its blown near coolant passages.. could be blown near oil then check oil for coolant.. otherwise all i know is take it apart and replace it ??
