Well I need some help now.....my car for some reason has the oil light coming on every time its under 1k....i have a b18b1 with documented 67k on it the trans is tight on it but yea.....i think either the motor or the oil pump is going....i hear a grinding noise around 3krpm....and when i start it up i hear knocking then it goes away completely .....i think thats because of the lack o oil then it gets some....but yea also for some reason i lost a quart of oil i had thought added a quart and now im over i think by a quart so yea could that be the problem?? i dont understand how it would give me an oil light when theres more than enough but another thing that leads me to beleive its the oil pump is because when i started my car this past week it took a bit for teh engine light to come off and when i turn it of theres a sorta idk juttering or squeek noise near the crank pulley....
Any info would be greatly appreciated im not driving it till i figure this out but to be honest if i have to get another motor im booting the b series going dohc zc maybe im not sure anyhow id like to get some help in this and if you need any more information ill get the answer...

I would say the pump as well if you hadn't have said that you hear knocking. Once knocking happens it doesn't go away. Mileage on a motor means nothing if you don't know how it was driven and taken care of.

yea i hear ya the transmissions at least grind free and very tight guess it just sat too long....the car i got it out of was off the road since 2001 so yea....probaly sitting somewhere because of the oil pump or something so im thinking replace the rod bearings while im at the oil pump might go ahead and buy a header too since i have to pull the blasted thing off anyhow but to be honest im probaly going to get the motor out of there and then work on it so maybe i can get some money together to get it done..........but yea i just dont know im getting a honda oem oil pump i know that. and i know the stupid timing belts going to be a bitch lol was putting on because i didnt know about the whole intake cam load....anyhow can i just straight up replace the rod bearings? and if so any ideas on a good brand? im just getting tired of things going wrong with my car i need to get my suspension done but its worthless unless i have something to put in it and drive....but yea i guess my suspension budget is off for now until i get this motor fixed but yea id like some info on what i can do.
Thanks
John
