- Thu Mar 18, 2010 7:57 pm #182124 I have a 94 civic lx with a b16a swap running a p30 ecu, my speedo doesnt work all the time and i have no vtec. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to check and see if my gauge cluster is bad?, the d series i had in it had the same problem so i know its not the vss, thanks in advance.

agreed... and like chance said try subbing it for one you know works

- Fri Mar 19, 2010 3:15 pm #182301 check wiring from vss to the speedomoter with a volt meter, if vtec won't engsge that means your ecu isn't seeing any speed from it.
