- Wed Apr 14, 2010 2:37 pm #187655 ok so i know its not the motor making my car shake so i thought id see if anyone else has or had this issue. when i acel. past 2500rpm's i get a hard shaking my door pannels dash and all i dont know why pzl help. i did add a aluminium avid solid mounts to replace the p/s and a/c mounts maybe thats it but i dont think it is. by the way im running a 92 eg 4dr w/b18a1 mated to a jdm b16 transmition 5speed.

- Wed Apr 14, 2010 2:58 pm #187658 Does it shake at high speeds 50+ or all the time? Its more than likely the mounts but could be your tires, it one has a bump.

- Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:32 pm #187660 check your tires fist for air pressure and balance and make sure there are no knots in the tread... then do a full bolt check on your front end, axle nuts and lug nuts first! honestly id check your lugs before you do anything else if not your solid mounts may be to blame but i have never heard of this complaint from something like that before hope that helps

- Thu Apr 15, 2010 1:01 pm #187860 its def. not the wheels and tires i just got brand new firestone firehawk gt's mounted on 91 crx si wheels so those are ok. and no its not a speed shake it only happens on accleraition like under 3000rpm's as it pulls past 3200rpm's it stops untill i upshift and the rev's drop under 3000 im gonna go bolt to bolt on my entire front end thanks for all the help

- Tue Apr 20, 2010 3:16 am #188686 I have the Hasport 85A durometer engine mounts, and I have the same vibration around 2000-2500rpm. It's normal for the B18B1 (and probably other B-series...but I have no idea...) as far as I'm concerned. My last Integra did the same thing with the Hasport mounts.
