b20z
b16 head itr or gsr cams
gsr trans
type r style intake mani
4to1 header
would be a good street setup...

well b20 is not vtec. you will have to make it vtec useing a gsr or b16 head.

i was kinda going around the B16 head, sort of cheaper and still getting the somehwat same performance

most people go with the b16 head because of the factory single plane intake manifold, and the stock manifold actually flow great... but the typeR helps

personally i dont feel there is alot of difference between the gsr of b16 head in performance when it comes down to it...

I would recommend not going for a B20vtec. You can make a B20 vtec reliable. However it will take a lot of money. Money that could be used to put in bigger cams in your stock B20 head and/or Turbo or Supercharge the B20.
Even in stock trim, a B20 matched to a short geared B16 transmission Hauls. I had this swap in my EK hatch until someone ran a stop sign and cut its life short. I will soon be swapping it over to my new Delsol. I have no plans to make my B20 vtec becouse I simply have no need for VTEC. 100% Pure Stock 99spec jdm b20b(USDM b20z) matched to my b16 transmission easily took a "Built" GSR Swap(gsr tranny, itr cams, port/polish) in a lighter EG hatch.
A B20 with basic I/h/e and a B16 transmission has the torque to push you back into your seats, Something you rarely feal in a Honda. Plus if you stay non-vtec you can run cheaper 87 octane fuel.

he has a very good point... i had my usdm b20b 97 spec in my eg with my 2000si trans and it hauled... it was peppy and did pull hard, it even barked 4th with a stock clutch

get arp headstuds and build the b20 head with some crower cams if your not going to go the vtec route... either way, youll love the b20's torque...
