exhaust note completely changed

I had a leak b4 this happend... but the car just changed its sound all together... it sounds more brotie than normal... I have a straight pipe to an tonabi exhaust wit no cat... and it back fires A lot more than normal... anything can help me out at this point cus I have no clue what's going on... btw the motor is running alright it rocks a lot... please help if u know what's up...

Did you check your exhaust to make sure there are no big dents in the pipe or that it hasn't made a leak?
In a Lowered car it's not hard to mess up your exhaust.

Nothing really changed the mufler part has always had a dent in it but no biggie... it always had that... mind u that when u press the gas the shifter moves a lot up & down...

So a lil update on the ol probelm...
I was driving wit my girl and BOOM!!!!! The effing header split @ the welds!!!!
So now I'm runnin open header and I have a huge head ache due to it being soooo loud....

Shift linkage moving alot means you most likely have issues with your rear t bracket mount. that stops engine from moving forward and backwards.
With the Exhaust totally coming undone it makes since that your earlier problems where that you have exhaust leaks from engine torquing and riding to low.
If your header is in decent shape weld it back together(or if you can't weld an exhaust shop can do it for you.)

Thanks man I checked to t and I'm actually missing the top bolt....
After work today ill swing by honda and pick it up ...
By any chance does that bracket come in a aftermarket form like hasport solid mounts???

the t brackets are all the same.... there just a piece of steel... no need to make an upgraded or solid form there all solid anyway... but hasport dose make them... there no different than stock though...

So I got it fixed

thank god....
I found a nice dc header for cheap... whent to the local speed shop and picked up a test pipe and then went to the only mufler shop open after 6 ..... BENS MUFLER AND BREAKS....
