if your all motor yes thats gonna slow you alot no joke. boosted the longer gears will actualkly make you fast6er giving you time to actually harness the power you make while boosting.

so if your gonna boost asap your good to go :thumb:

I disagree... longer gear ratios will always accelerate slower than a shorter gear ratio, boosted or NA. You will have a higher top end speed with longer gears though. With a short gear tranny, you'll top out sooner.

and topping out sooner means you will be winning the race!

Is the race auto-x, 1/4 mi or salt flats?

Sometimes acceleration is better than top end.

Is that for or against the LS tranny, personally i would rather feel a GSR on 10 lbs then a NA with type r tranny........

:thumb: boost can grow anyone a few chest pubes :hehe:

but seriously, id look around for another gsr tranny. youll be more satisfied when your n/a and youll rip through the gears nice and quick boosted.

take a look at this, maybe itll clear anything up?

gsr trans are between 450 to 750 where i live... i will say from my personal experience...

i have a ls trans with lsd behind my turbo b16, and had the same trans behind my turbo ls... imo both engines on about 9psi pushed thru the gears just fine (my turbo ls pushed thru the ls gears like my na poormans did the gsr, but the speed and quickness is what changed).... and i also have a ls trans in my dd behind my allmotor stock parts build poormans r, and when the same engine was in my other hatch with gsr gears, the only real difference i notice is in 3rd the way it pulls, but honestly i wouldnt say it killed the egnine... but thats just my .02
