Airflow characteristics are nearly the same, with the b16 being slightly better. But the gsr head will yeild higher compression as the combustion chamber is smaller. With the b16 you can use ITR intake manifold, whereas with the gsr you need to go aftermarket.
That being said, many people like the gsr due to the compression being higher

u said the gsr head will stop from gettin higher compression but then u said ppl like the gsr head for higher compression? or u talkin intake manifolds?

ok i have a B16 as well. but i dont like the lack of torqe. but u have CTR pistons and with a Gsr head u will have Higher compression and the B16 with a P&P u can flow same as a TypeR. but thats just my word
and for the cams, i have tryed Gsr cams on a B16 head and i didnt feel the difference. maybe on the dyno u can see more Hp. but it all up to you how much money u want to spent and what u can get your heand on.
me i would just go aftermarket.

No. I said it YEILDS higher comp. Meaning, it will RAISE comp more than the b16 head.
Gsr cams are better if you are going boost. I'd go with the skunk2 pro1 cams. We have made just over 200hp N/A, with those cams, and a skunk2 head package, stock bottom end.
Your ''lack of torque'' is due to the shorter stroke of the b16 compaired to a b18.

yea i already knew bout the torque but i read wrong on the yeild part my bad i was gonna do the skunk2 head package with the cams too
how much hp u think i would make with the ctr pistons already in the b16 block?

Lol the torque comment was at the other guy.
With that done, and getting it PROPERLY tuned. I'm sure you're not far off 210-220hp. N/A is an expensive game though.

The B16 head makes the most sense for all-motor. The GSR was designed for more power in the driving RPM range. Hondas attempt at a broad, flat torque curve.
Yield >< Stop. That's classic!!
