Yeah, you can run it off the back of the block. It's just venting the crankcase directly instead of the valve cover. If you want, you can run a line off of the valve cover into the catch can as well.

no if your can has 3 ports you can run one hose off your valve cover and on off the block the 3rd port of the can has to be vent so the fumes and pressure can be released.

Yeah if it only has three ports, you need to either vent the third to the atmosphere with a filter or run it to the intake manifold to get vacuum on the crankcase to fully ventilate the case.

well what i think iam what iam going to do is just run the two off the block and just get a little breather for the 3 port on the can

what worked well for me was capping my pvc inlet on the IM. then i ran a hose off the "black box" on the back of the block to the CC and then a hose from the CC out under the car. ( my CC only has 2 ports) then on the VC i just ran a hose from it to under the car. this way my motor is not eating any oily shit fumes.

i did this because when i rebuilt my motor the IM and intake ports oin the head where coated in black oily grime  . now i dont have this problem

as for smog every 2 years i put the top portion of the pvc hose back on that i filled with gasket maker and remove and the catch can, then i hook up the vc port to the intake legit and it doesnt have any problems passing :thumb:
