i am using a flat top screw driver for the harder places now.I picked up a can of "rust check" red oxide sandable primer. It wil be easier to cover with wrinkle red with red... Right?? Do i spray it then bake it then spray it then bake it again.. Or make it thick then bake it and done?? I know how to sand and spary paint but what grits for best adhesion and the process i get mixed up 8)

aircraft remover will be your best friend in cleaning that and yes i paint alot lol and i always use a coat or two of primer then i use at least 3 coats base then a coat or two of clear check for "orange peel" then into the oven it goes for an hour

i can see some commotion here.My buddy never primed. But if im putting in 4-5 hours of prep work its just as well to shoot some red oxide on it!

If you use a primer then use something like duplicolor engine primer, its high heat.

I was checking out some eristic valve cover gaskets on egay. You can get the tube seals, hold down grommets, and the gaskets itself for like $42 shipped...But people say thier gaskets are shit!(headgaskets that is)... Any input guys....
