You can go either way, one or the other. Which ever harness has less wire to extend or mod to work with your application. You can DIY vtec wiring or go on rywire.com and buy it

If the LS wiring harness is OBD2, it is probably not best to use it, very hard to wire into your chassis, so it's best to stay OBD1 especially for tuning purposes, use the harness your chassis originally came with (assuming your ride is an eg civic) and wire up what ever is missing.
The only thing you need to change since its an OBD2 engine your using, is
* alternator plug, one is square other is circle (or change to OBD1 alternator)
* either injectors or injector plugs
* extend IAC sensor wires (JDM obd2 engines have IAC on the intake pipe, or you can drill and tap where it's suppose to go on the intake manifold obd1 style)
* 4 wire o2 sensor
* add knock sensor (can be disabled if your ecu is tuned, optional)
* vtec wiring (do it yourself, or rywire.com)
Most of the above is easy, if not just google each individual problem, you will find info on it all
If you need anymore help just PM me, I recently finished my first engine swap, obd2 b16 into my EG

use your existing harness and wire that shit up.
search for the diagram and go from there.
if your car is a 92 then its prewired from the ECU to the shock tower for Vtec.
if not. then see what PIN connector it is. wire it to the shock tower plug. and then on the other shock tower plug wire it to the Vtec solenoid.
or you can buy the Rywire's Vtec lines.

He'd also have to repin the Distributor to OBD1 or get an OBD1 Distributor.

Didn't want to start a new thread, a similar question.
I have a LSI EG 1993 Civic, I'm guessing it has ODB1, going to
check tonight. I'm putting in a B16A2 that's ODB2.
Should I use my the ecu and harness that's in the car and buy a
ODB conversion harness ?
Thanks guys
EDIT: Just figured out I can't use my PM5/P04 ecu, going to need
to get a cpu/harness from a Esi car, that's the P28 ecu and harness from
that car.

lol i know what you mean
@ Armann: yes youd need that ESI harness or if you can get the Sir/ Vti harness and ECU (P30) for the B16 and then convert it to OBD1. i think that would be the easiest route but you can use your exsisting harness or the ESI harness and just wire up the things you dont have.

thought I was forgetting something, was sitting there for 10 minutes trying to figure out what it was lol

ah ok yea just need to wire up the vtec and maybe some other things like knock and etc. you can use that rywire harness on it. since its a 98 car and wanting to keep it obd2 make sure you get all the OBD2A stuff. i think you might be good on the dizzy if its obd2. might be not sure.
