ok i plan on ordering a JDM B16A from Hmotors.
I plan to throw some skunk2 stage 1 cams
ITR TB and intake manifold
maybe some F1 headers
whale penis intake
exhaust
i also plan to take it to a tuner to give it a good tune.
what kind of times do you guys think this would make in my hatch?
i saw a few 99-00 si's at the track on saturday and they were hitting 15's....do you guys think i will hit 15's on my set up? if so i will prolly forget about this set up and do somthing else. what do your guys think about my set up overall? good? bad?

some one on the other honda forum i use ran his civic last weekend with pretty much the spec and managed a 14.6 @ 98mph (give or take a few MPH, cant remember the exact MPH off the top of my head. lol)

anyway, that was on a standard ECU with a chrome bass map and road tyres.

Start your build with a GSR, dont waste your time on the B16a. Remember your upgrading motors for a reason. Dont stick with the same torque numbers.

You could always do somethlng like what Im doing. I just picked up a GSR short block and got a head. Im putting mine together. Pretty much buying the compete swap part at a time...

Specially now that my tranny broke.

Short block - $400
Head - $400
Tranny - $400

Cheaper than a complete swap.

plans sound good! I have seen some pretty quick civics with that engine. Should get low 15's or high 14's for sure.

Also depends on the trim of hatch you have. Definitely harder to hit high 14's in an Si hatch like mine (sunroof, PS). If you have a CX or VX should definitely be able to get there. You'll always want more though! :D I would swap the B16, and save the rest of the money you want to spend on mods for a minor turbo kit! :thumb: Kinda what i did, but i started with a B18b.
