Okay, according to the compression calculator, If I use a b18b1 block, b17a head, b17a crank, custom eagle 140.48 mm rods, b16a pistons, Ill have a 1677cc or 1.7L b18b LS/VTEC with a 1.74 rod/stroke ratio. Good Idea or Bad???? Oh also a 11.14 compression ratio.

By .1 liter....Also my rod/stroke ratio went from 1.52 (the worst) to 1.73 (b16 territory) with a bit more torque...Still should be a fun motor....Just wondering if this is a half decent Idea...I have a b17 now...and I have a BARE b18b block, so technically this block has already been destroked, lol. Its basically an oppurtunity to build a b17 with b16 rev capabilities, but still retain the little bit of extra torque that comes from being a 1.7 liter. Not to mention fresh rebuild.....Any other opinions on the matter???

Sounds like a Cool build. If you want a High Revving engine it would be a cool build.
I say do it. The biggest thing I hated about my B16 was the lack of torque and waiting for power. This would help out with that. I hope you do it and post up a build thread about it as I know i would follow it. I LOVE seeing engine build threads.

Finally, a decent response....acutally Im picking up a bare LS short block tomorrow for $40.00...can't beat it...maybe a build thread is in the works...
