b20 crankshaft in a B18a1 ?

Can i put a b20 crankshaft in a b18a1 block ? i need a new crankshaft for my b18 and my friend has like-new b20 crankshaft that he would give me for free..

B20 and B18 LS cranks are one in the same if im not mistaken. but i could be wrong..

B20 and B18 LS cranks are one in the same if im not mistaken. but i could be wrong..

b20b/z and B18a/b Cranks are the same. The b20 is bored out to 84mm instead of the 81mm the B18's are bored out to. Stoke and cranks are the same.

alright.. are you guys sure that the counter weights are the same weight ? Are B20b/z piston's heavier than b18a/b one's ?
I really want to make sure before i put the motor back together !

Now i have a stupid question that makes me wounder.. lol
Whats makes it that the B20 is a 2.0liter.. if the crankshaft is the same thing as a 1.8L, why is it the same size

bore size on a b20 is 84, bore size on an ls is 81 (same as b16 and gsr).

Ya, that was sarcasm. Here we are telling you its the same part, and in fewer words its been done before.
So, that said it's the same part, an LS crank will work perfectly fine in a B20. No adverse effects, everything will be perfectly fine!
