Ok this might be a stupid question.

but i bought a 93 eg coupe a few months back with a b18a1 in it with a jdm head.

before i bought the car i bought a b18b1 long block with a blown head gasket.

i had the plans for a ls/vtec but might rethink it.

wondering which one will be better in the long run

b18c or ls/vtec

Ls/Vtec has more power if built reliable but more expensive than b18c

thats what i have been reading up on, i will be fully building the ls/vtec if i go that way. my buddy has a gsr head ima get from him and a lsv kit.

but it will be rebuilt and maxed out so no problems on reliability.

still wanting to hear everyone elses ideas

If built right, then go with the lsv. Since the B18b is the only true 1.8L

ok thanks, then ill spend the time and money building it right.

but all in all if i built my lsv its about the same as buying a b18c

b18c = 1800 for a real one.

lsv build....about the same done right lol maybe cheaper.

i paid $70 for my b18b1 long block, came with timing belt, alternator and a few other things.

then later on i traded my 96 ex for my 93 eg b18a1 coupe (best thing i have done ever since)
