hey guys, im having a huge issue with my B18C,

symptoms:

-no speedo
-no odometer
-no vtec

ive read some forums and it seems like its the Vehical speed sensor
but they retail for like 250$
can someone let me know if its this for sure before i invest that much?

note* sometimes the speedo bounces and then the vtec works
but then it dies and so does my vtec

Happened to me a couple weeks ago, same symptoms.
I went to the local junk yard and pulled one out of a d-series tranny.
It ended up being like $15-20
took about 10 minutes or less to swap it out. if I remember right its 3 blots and a plug.
I got some pictures I'll post later

^you can see in the pic that there's a little gear, you have to take the one out of your old speed sensor and put it in the new one. all that holds it in is a little pin.
