my b16a2's evap purge solenoid has broken

ive been told i can use any sensor as long as its from the same gen engine ( obd2 in my case)

1. is this true

Yeah if it looks the same you can use it. The redesign of that system didn't correspond exactly with the OBD generations. My 97 GSR is the older design that goes all the way back to 88.
