- Mon Sep 15, 2008 3:44 am #69795 hey my newly finished b16 swap swap sputters from idle to 3000rpm then revs fine. there is a check engine light but i dont have a code reader. timing is dead on, im running a p28 ecu, tps and map sensor are not mixed up. let me know if you need more info i really dunno what it is. also do you know where the plug for the obd1 reader is located? thanks

- Mon Sep 15, 2008 6:54 pm #69886 the jumper plug is by the passenger front kick panel. kinda behind the glove box. it didnt think i p28 would correctly run a b16 unless it was chipped.

- Tue Sep 16, 2008 5:53 am #69984 k i found the issue my idle control valve isnt plugged in and the map sensor line had a crack in it. im going to fix these tommoro. however can anybody post me a pic of the plug in the wire harness that goes to the icv. also if the p28 doest run it correctly without being chipped what is a good AFFORDABLE chip. i dont want anything that will mess up my engine at all.

- Option 1: Get a Stock B16 Ecu
- Option 2: Take your car to a Tuning shop, Ask Around in your local area for good ones. One of the Best Tuning places locally here will Reflash a chip to a stock B16 Basemap for you. However you will have to you ECU Chipped already. If not they charge $250 to Chip and Tune your car.

I Recommend Option 2. Dont buy chips online, you Want one tuned to YOUR engine. a Basemap is good, a Tuned Map is even Better.
