Only thing that comes to my mind is that you might get shittier compression with the head being larger than the block. :?

oopsssss. thanks teal. but if you can put a b16 head on a b18 block why would putting a b18 head on a b16 block not be ok. b16 is good for high rev and are known for being very strong. i have a head that is built by jg. port n polish, all titanium internals, duel valve springs, brian crower stage 2 cams, aem cam gears, and over sized valves. so it will rev to 8500 saftly and mabey to 9000. and the b 16 block will go to 9000 like cake. and what bout raising compresion with a head gasket????

sorry to steal the thread but this kinda pertains to the statement above. the b16 head bolted onto a b18 block, the new head will flow better, correct?

Bumping this. Would this not be a good set up? Still learning Honda Motors. This is a engine from https://www.kingmotorsports.com/category.aspx?cat=99 all the way at the bottom

King Motorsports Super B16 Crate Motor
The B16 was the motor that jump started the Honda performance scene. Recently the larger B18, H22, and K-Series have been getting a lot of attention, however the B16 is still a great little powerplant when it is set-up correctly. We've developed a potent package that is a real high RPM screamer perfect for street, strip, or track use. Do you like the sound of 9500rpm and 210whp? This little guy provides a very broad torque curve and amazing top end power.

We highly recommend the use of a Hondata system with this engine. If you need one we will work out a package deal - tuning is key to making this combination work correctly.

Here's the quick list of specs:
B16A Block/Crank Fully Balanced and Blueprinted
GSR Head w/ King Stage IV Port/Polish
13.0:1 Compression Ratio
Wiseco Pistons
Skunk2 Pro2+ Cams
Supertech Springs
Crower Steel Retainers
Wiseco Pistons
Rage Header
Moroso 5.5qt Oil Pan
