Engine mounts and oil leak

Hey all, just picked up a 94 VX hatch with an Ls/vtec swap (B18A1/PR3-1) and I believe a GSR tranny and am trying to sort out all the issues with it. First things are the engine mounts, there are 3 right now. One behind the engine on top of the steering rack and one on each side above the frame rails. There should also be 2 more right? One on each side below the frame rails?

The other major issue is an oil leak from what I think is the Vtec solenoid, left side of the engine in front of the distributor. When the engine is running this thing just pisses oil, its literally a stream down the side of the tranny.
I'm not sure what parts to get though cause I'm not sure what car the head came off of.

yes one on the tranny and one on the actuall block lots of peple just junk them but i personally would put them on especially if your using oem motor mounts.

all b series vtec selenoids are the same. just pull it out and make sure they put the ruber gasket on it if is there just put silicone

Like the guy above me said, there are indeed two more mounts for your car. They are vibration/torque mounts. They are not needed if you have after market mounts, but still help non the less. They are more needed with stock oem mounts. If that is what you have you should go get them. One on the drivers side is the AC mount and the other mounts to the front of the tranny. they each go up under the frame rails and bolt up to that.

As for the leaking VTEC solenoid. It is most likely just the gasket for the solenoid. You can just go up to honda and explain to them where its leaking and they should know. if not, just tell them the VTEC soleniod gasket for a 99-00 B16a Si civic. That should stop your leaking.

It COULD aslo be your cam seal which is behind the VTEC soleniod. Another very easy part to replace as you take off the valve cover and VTEC soleniod. Might as well replace that too.

if its pissing oil out can you see if its comming from between the head and block.. if the lsvtec was done right.. then it shouldnt be pissing out oil... you may want to find out if they blocked that oil hole in the v tec head

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm keeping the stock rubber engine mounts so the other 2 will be getting put on soon. I pulled the VTEC solenoid and found the issue, the gasket was there and had been put on with red RTV silicone. The real issue is some one striped out one of the bolt holes and instead of putting a heli-coil they taped the hole and the housing for a 3/8 bolt... [smilie=nono.gif] Time to break out the drill.
