- Thu Dec 04, 2008 3:12 pm #81952 My car idles from like 1500 and then goes all the way under 1000rpm and just continues to do that also sometimes itll idle soo low that the car will turn off im not sure what it could be i know the timing was off but we fixed that and the car has enough coolant and there doesnt seem to be any vacumm leeks but i could be wrong what could be causing this idling?

there is also a small screw on the throttle body, that can some times get loose to try adjusting that.

sensor = potentially expensive to fix...



go for the screw first...
