have any of you guys heard if machining your crank it breaks over a period of time when you boost the b18. i got a guy here that i have talked to about building a b18 and he is trying to get me to get a eagle crank. any input would be great.

the stock crank can handle up to 800hp.... it also states that in the hyanes (?) manual. the one that shows you how to build a motor and etc....
eagle cranks are nice and all but most likely you wouldnt be aiming over 500 on a street set up anyways right?. IMO just get the crank micro polished and balanced and you'll be fine.

OEM crank is the way to go for anything under 86.5mm bore... in my opinion (knowledge of those with enough money to waste on the eagle crank ), micropolish and balance the OEM crank and let it lose...
besides, it's pretty much guaranteed... you will never find an eagle crank with 130k+ miles on it...
