bolt turns freely on valve cover

i have a b18ci and one of the bolts that holds the valve cover spins freely and moves up and down but wont come out all the way,its the bolt by the cam seal in the front, i am puting a new blox cam seal in [weatherpermitted] i was just wondering if this was normal,and how to fix it whan i take the valve cover off

stripped bolt at some point. cut the bolt and grab a tap and dye set tool set. good luck, it's going to suck.

its not the bolt though ,if i use vise grips and put tension on it i can get the bolt out,the thing it bolts into moves,when i do my cam seal ill post some pics.

I think this is normal. My D series Valve Cover bolts do the same, as well as Every other Honda Valve Cover bolt that I have worked with.

bolts shouldn't spin freely.

took my valve cover off today its the cam keeper ,where the bolt threads in is broke,so now i have to wait longer to drive my car.ill post pics when i get a chance

I totally misread what they said. I thought they were commenting that they bolts stay in the valve cover and dont come out.

Thats Major leakage right there. Holy snap.

yeah i know and now i cant find one anywhere,theres no gsr motors in any junkyard around me,very frustrating cant drive my car just stare at it, and then i find one outrageous prices i dont know,will see what happens,sorry about the crappy pics i was using my phone.
