B16, B18, B20

#120363 Hey all,
Im building up a b series for my project.
So far I have collected;
- b18a
-all the nessesary swap bits
-eagle forged crank
-eagle H beam connecting rods
-ACL rod and main bearings, and thrust washers
-Cheap-o 8psi turbo kit (fmic, bov, external waste gate ect..)

I plan on getting the block sleeved out, not so much because I think ill need the strength at this moment, but because I hate doing lower end work and would much rather build it stronger than I need the first time.

Now, I have decided that I like the lower compression, and the theoretical 5% more flow that the b16 head gives. So Im going to use a b16 head for the build. I understand that I will need to get pistons to match this, which will not be an issue.

The question that I have is what would you suggest for after-market parts for the head?

I plan on throwing in a mild cam set (middle of the road, good reliability), so I would assume springs and retainers are on the list, and I don’t know if new valves are necessary or not?

The end goal of this build is to push enough power to surprise lightly modified mustangs, and firebirds on the road, but retain a good reliability factor without braking the bank. :twisted:

Any suggestions on what parts I should throw in the mix, and what brands I should snag?
