#115605 1st of all, is your car well maintained, recent tune up? any check engine light?

2nd, 20-30 kmh is equal to what mph, maybe 10-15 mph?
that is normal for our torqueless civics not to be able to accelerate quickly in 2nd gear doing 10 mph.
It also makes a big difference which transmission you are using. there are short gear (faster acceleration) and long gear (slower acceleration) transmissions.

The ex and si models with the d16z6 here are the short gear trannys. the dx and lx models with d15b7 have a long geared tranny. the cx and vx with the d15b8 and d15z1 have an extremely long geared tranny. good for fuel economy but not for accelreation.

i just bought from chopshop n ask for D15B manual tranny only
how to check it ? can i check it ?

there should be a sticker on it... might have to clean it off a bit.

#115628 No need to do an additional tune up after converting to manual, just wanted to double check that your car is in good shape, which it sounds like it is :thumb:

Now for the transmission...

In the first column, next to the tranny name you can see there is A000 and B000.
Stamped near the drain plug on your manual transmission, either A000 (long gears) or B000 (short gears) will be stamped.
If you have the A000, you could have either the D15b7 tranny with 4.058 final drive OR the very long geared D15b8/D15z1 tranny with 3.250 final drive (good for fuel economy, not acceleration)
If you have the B000, then you have the ex or si transmission which are identical except for 5th gear. Both have a 4.250 FD ratio.
I have Si transmissions in both of my civics. Even then, if I'm doing 10 mph in second gear and floor it, the car isn't going to accelerate fast right away. These low torque motors need some RPM in order to get the cars moving.
With a long geared transmission, I can imagine the acceleration would be much much slower. Either way, it's not like when my car was an automatic and I could floor the gas pedal at 10-15 mph and the auto tranny would downshift to 1st and get up and go instantly. At 10-15 mph if you floor the gas, don't expect the car to put your head into the seat.
You'll need to be ready with the engine running at a higher RPM (say 2500-3000 rpm) that is where these engines really just begin to pull.

You could downshift into first, you may have to blip the gas pedal to match the rpm's to get the sifter to go down into first at 10 mph, but this is hard on your transmission.

when i drive in 20-30kmh on road with 2nd gear,but if suddenly i wan to overtake n accelerate it with deep press my pedal in 2nd gear also,n there is no power to push the rpm up untill when slowly i reach at 60kmh n this time i can feel the 2nd gear power n continue push untill 100kmh
i feel no power to overtake in 2nd gear when 20-30kmh,imposible to ask me downshift to 1st gear ?
i dono my explanation is correct,hopefully u understand~
