he says everything is legit not stolen.. is there some kinda paper work i can make him sign so if it is stolen i wont get in trouble like a bill of sell..??

k now to the good stuff i wanna make it a mini me so im thinking of rebuilding it completely but not putting more than 500 on it so what can i do..? i do wanna spray some nitrous later on the road.. :hehe:

but i think it'll still pass smog, if not find one of those smog shops that u can pay off to smog it..lol

total noob at rebuilding..
rememeber im only 16 lolz..
but i gotta learn some day i have 400 to spend on it rite now so what should i do first..??

he said it had a blown head gasket.. but im not worried for that because i wanna do mini me..

but 1st thing 1st is make sure the deck of the block isnt cracked or warped
since it had a blown headgasket,

but try to get a y8 head, or z6 head, but i hear the y8 is the better one, but its all up to you

what parts do you need to finish the mini me?

well rite now what i have for the mini-me is just the p28 ecu

so i need a complete d16z6 head or a d16y8..
and what else..
i would like to make it a fun daily driver.. i want a cheap reliable build no crazy pistons and shit.. hahah

ya you need the complete y8 head or the z6
so i take it you have the tranny too??

- Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:56 am #120078 look for an ex/si tranny, shorter gears = more fun to drive around town.
if you get the y8 intake manifold, be sure it is from a manual car. auto y8's have the iacv built into the throttle body - not what you want. y8 head will yield slightly higher compression ratio - good for n/a setup. you'll need higher octane fuel though.

you think the y8 head will hold more nitrous than a z6 ..??

- Tue Jun 02, 2009 2:34 am #120084 buy the alternator that is for your car, an OBD1 one. Y8 motors have an obd2 alternator which you can re-wire, but it's easier to get an obd1 alternator.

- Wed Jun 03, 2009 2:36 am #120314 yes the y8 head is the better choice i have a z6 with a y8 head and a si tranny :thumb: ... but in my exspirence with build motors 500 will not be enough exspecialy if your trying to run nitrous... if you are going to do it do it right so you dont have to tear it down agian when something breaks GOOD THINGS DO NOT COME OVER NIGHT

well ive been loocking around for z6 or y8 head cant seem to find one..
block is still sitting in garage..
