- Sat Jun 06, 2009 7:26 pm #121080 You guys in cali have it easy, I went for a weekend to visit my uncle and I must have seen like 5 or 6 junkyards in like three hours.....South florida is the worst for junkyards, and when you do find one theres nothing there......damm SUCKS!

haha i know i used to live in ft. myers and there were like 2 junk yard but out here there is like 10-15 yards within 25 miles of each other..lol

i traded the guy some lowering springs and ls ecu for them..
he said the main shaft bearing is probally messed up so i gotta fix that and clean everything up.. and the head needs a couple stuff valve cover, injectors, dist, small stuff..

what would you guys think if i left the block alone on the d15b7 and just slapped on the z6 head what kinda power will i be making with that and the ex tranny?
im looking for something to atleast keep up with ls's 1st and 2nd gear maybe 3rd..??

- Sun Jun 07, 2009 3:22 pm #121184 you'll be making almost the same power as a d16z6. It's the head that gives the top end hp, the .1 liter difference in displacement isn't much of a difference.

That EX tranny will greatly help acceleration too :thumb:

how about injectors and all that other good stuff..? like t/b, stock manifold, vtec soleniod?

you think if i run this setup with a d16y8 head gasket it will keep up with most d16z6's
and pass smog?
