#128585 I'm looking to pick up a EF9 si with a D-series engine in it.

I'm gunna keep the engine bone stock aside from a intake and headers/exhuast

My question is its probably going to have 100,000+ miles on it, and me and my buddy are planning on making alot of trips to vegas and back this summer, so it needs to be reliable for 400+ miles of driving at a time.

What parts in a D-Series should i replace with lots of miles to make sure i keep a clean and healthy reliable car to just have to cruise.

Not looking to make this thing fast, reliability is the key.

timing belt, water pump, i woulld replace all the rubber hoses, all the upper gaskets including the HG, all the belts, "tune up"- cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter..

get the injectors cleaned flush all the fuilds and stay on top of them
and your car should run like a champ :thumb:

#128933 nice im a EF'er at heart!! lol it was my first car and i will always own one as long as i live. but at the moment i dont. but im saving for a EF9 (real deal JDM) :thumb:

my first was a Dx but i prefer a Si and you can find them around the same price range if you search well/long enough. Ive found some super clean ones, original owners, everything mint!! ..nothing like a clean ass Ef.

i agree with changing all the fluids and get a tune up (water pump/ TB etc) along with the cv's & youll be cruzin forever!
